Ama - 2022
Ama is a table lamp entirely 3D printed with recycled PETG from Reflow Filamanet. Ama is the result of research into non-planar tool paths (freely traversing the X, Y and Z axes), both in terms of file setup and the design of a direct drive extruder specifically for non-planar 3D printing. Ama consists of three parts, designed to be assembled quickly and easily. The non-planar layers of the shade produce a surprisingly transparent effect. The height of the layers varies throughout the lamp, producing different shades of color as the light passes through.
